Donating ≠ local reuse. In the U.S., only ~20% of donated textiles are resold domestically; most are exported, down-cycled, or discarded.
Reuse cuts impact fast. Extending a garment’s life by around 9 extra months reduces its carbon, water, and waste footprints by ~20–30%.
How it works
Collect your items
Gather up gently used kids’ clothes, gear, and toys. We especially love quality brands, but don’t worry, we’ll take care of sorting. Even items with stains can be given a second life!
Schedule a pickup or drop-off
If you’re in the SF Bay Area, we’ll come to you or arrange a convenient central drop-off. Outside the area? Ship your items with a pre-labeled bag.
Curation & resale
Our team reviews everything, then cleans, photographs, and lists the best pieces. We’ll make sure resale prices stay fair. You can receive Kin Market credit toward future exchanges, or have us donate on your behalf.
